Thé Vert de Chine Chunmee 9367 is a popular, cost-effective grade of Chinese loose-leaf green tea celebrated for its robust flavor and distinct “eyebrow” shape.
- Appearance: The leaves are pan-fried (stir-fried), slightly curved, and tightly rolled to resemble eyebrows. The color is typically a mix of muted yellow and green, often containing a standard ratio of small stems.
- Flavor Profile: It produces a clean, yellow-green liquor with a smooth but noticeably strong, tangy-sweet flavor. It is slightly lighter than premium grades like 41022 or 9371, making it a smoother, less astringent daily table tea.
- Best Use Case: Because of its strong, energetic flavor base and high capacity to generate a rich foam, it is highly favored for preparing traditional Moroccan and West African Mint Tea.Â
Traditional Preparation (Mint Tea Style)
- The Wash (Rinsing): Place the loose leaves in a teapot and add a small amount of hot water. Swirl gently for 30 seconds and pour out the water, keeping the leaves. This removes bitterness and cleanses the tea.
- The Infusion: Add fresh hot water (around 80°C / 175°F) over the leaves. Do not use roaring boiling water, which can scorch the leaves.
- The Flavoring: Stuff the teapot with fresh spearmint leaves and a generous amount of sugar.
